HM6 – Hour Meter / Tachometer, Resettable Service Hours

Digital hour meter and tachometer combo designed to track engine run time and service intervals. Features a resettable timer for accurate maintenance tracking, suitable for motorcycles, ATVs, scooters, and other spark-ignition engines.

Installation Instructions:

1. Wrap the Pick-Up Wire:

   • Wrap the included pick-up wire around the spark plug wire 5 times, starting about 4 cm from the spark plug boot.

   • Secure with a zip tie.

2. Connect to Meter:

   • Insert the pick-up wire into the rear of the meter.

   • Start the engine; the meter should detect the ignition signal.

   • If successful, the LCD will display engine hours and tachometer activity.

   • Wait at least 6 minutes for the timer to increment by 1/10 of an hour.

   • If the meter does not detect the signal, adjust the pick-up wire closer to the spark plug boot.

3. Route Pick-Up Wire:

   • Run the pick-up wire along a throttle or frame cable, keeping it away from heat and moving parts.

   • Leave about 8 cm slack for easy spark plug removal.

4. Mount the Meter:

   • Choose a convenient, visible location on the frame or handlebar.

   • Securing Methods:

     • Drill a 2.5 mm hole and mount using the included screws.

     • Use double-sided tape and zip ties for a non-drilled, secure installation.
